Game Preview

The Arizona Coyotes’ final road trip has been exciting so far. They started with a commanding win over San Jose, only to get destroyed by the Seattle Kraken in their second game. Then, on Wednesday, after allowing the Vancouver Canucks to come back from a 3-1 deficit, Logan Cooley notched his 19th of the season to give the Coyotes their first win over the Canucks this season.

It was an excellent night for Dylan Guenther, who was involved in all four of the Coyotes’ goals. He made it 3-1 early in the final frame and had two primary assists as well as a secondary assist. Guenther may have started the season in the AHL with the Roadrunners but has shown he is ready to be a full-time NHL player.

The Coyotes and Edmonton Oilers will play each other twice in the next five days. They will play in Edmonton tonight and face each other at Mullett Arena next Wednesday.

Edmonton is second in the Pacific Division behind the Vancouver Canucks, and they are looking to end the season on a high note. They come into tonight’s match riding a three-game win streak and are 6-3-1 in their last ten games.

The Edmonton Oilers are a high-offense team, so the Coyotes need to do their best to limit their chances. They will also want to stay out of the box and not give the Oilers any chances with the man advantage.

Players to Watch

Arizona: Logan Cooley – Cooley is just one goal shy of the 20-goal plateau after an impressive second half of the season. He comes into tonight’s match with four points in his past four games.
