After selecting three North American players in the first round, the Arizona Coyotes entered the second day of the NHL Draft and selected five European players out of its seven selections. Forward Julian Lutz, a second-round selection, and Maksymilian Szuber, a sixth-round selection, were the only two German players taken out of the 225 players in the draft. The Arizona Coyotes revealed their schedule for the 2022-23 season on Wednesday. The Coyotes will open up the season on the road Oct. 13 against the Pittsburgh Penguins. The matchup will be the first of six-straight road contests for Arizona to start the season. The Coyotes won’t see home ice until an Oct. 28 game against the Winnipeg Jets. It’ll mark the first time Arizona takes the ice in Tempe following its move from Glendale after last season. The Coyotes will temporarily play at Arizona State’s multipurpose arena from 2022-23 through 2024-25 (with an additional option for 2025-26) while their new home is being built. Pro Rodeo TV is the official broadcast partner for the Las Vegas NFR streaming. PRCA and Rural Media Group recently has made a new deal about NFR live broadcast with The Cowboy Channel & RFD-TV, which will be activated from the beginning in 2020.
It's not legally binding, but this little Coyotes fan warmed our hearts with this proposal to Anthony Duclair. And he said yes!
The Coyotes are only 8 points behind 1st place in the Pacific Division and have played 2 less games than the Division leaders - not all hope is lost!

Welcome to the first posting of sarahhowling and mrssoco's podcast @AZDenTalk!
This week we have an extra long episode because Sarah and special guest Jen Neale forgot to stop talking after we ended the podcast.
Liz's computer was the one being cranky and left out after the OMG of the Sean Leahy eye story (Thank Jeff Marek for that one).
We talked about everything from the NHL to the CWHL to the NWHL to random stories, being a women in sports media and everything in between. A few names may have been dropped along the way as well.
You can follow Jen Neale at @MsJenNeal_PD on twitter or read her amazing writing at Yahoo's Puck Daddy.
As Always follow us on twitter @AZDenTalk! Sarah's personal twitter at @sarahhowling and Liz at @cinderbella. See you next week with our next Woman who loves hockey!Coyotes Co-Owner/Professional Mouthpiece (I mean that in the best of ways), Anthony Leblanc provides an update on the Coyotes arena situation. Some good - mostly privately financed by the Coyotes; Some less good - emphasis on "real estate" development aspects of the deal (flashbacks of Ellman and Westgate) Some just good to know - 3 more years at Gila River Arena likely.
On a slow news day, Shane Doan shows us all how to get people talking. Too bad he's not on Twitter to see it.
But we can't help but point out one other thing you won't have to see in Canada: a gold medal from 1952-2002.
The Arizona Coyotes start this season's marketing off strong with an amazing minute and a half promo.
