The success or failure of any team is dependent on a number of factors. Not only do the players need to be at the top of their game, but coaches and the front office need to put them in the best position to win.
63 percent of Arizona Coyotes fans said they are confident the team is headed in the right direction, according to the most recent SB Nation Reacts survey. The growing support in the team appears to be following a belief in team leadership. 75 percent of Coyotes fans have confidence in head coach Rich Tocchet and GM Bill Armstrong.
From a national perspective, confidence is very split. Just over half of hockey fans around the league said they are confident in Gary Bettman as NHL commissioner. The mark has dropped a few points from 56 percent over last summer.
Coyotes fans have always had an interesting relationship with Commissioner Gary Bettman. It is safe to say that without Bettman the team would have moved long ago.
But that belief isn't absolute.
This season has had a number of issues with COVID-19 and has resulted in the many Coyotes games being rescheduled despite only two Coyotes having to go through COVID protocol.
Those changes did result in the Coyotes getting to play a seven-game series against the St. Louis Blues, so maybe it was a good thing.
