Today the NHL officially announced that 2020 NHL Entry Draft and the beginning of free agency.
The draft will be held virtually, with Round 1 beginning at 7 pm eastern time on Tuesday, October 6th with Rounds 2-7 starting the next day at 11:30 am eastern time.
Free agency will begin on Friday, October 9th at 12 pm eastern time.
Arizona still does not have a permanent general manager, although that will hopefully be wrapped up before the draft and free agency.
My understanding, per sources, is that the Coyotes will wrap up their 1st round of interviews today & then choose finalists for the GM position from a large group of candidates (some names listed in the story at the top of my timeline). It's possible they'll name a GM next week.

The Coyotes currently do not have any picks in the first three rounds of the draft. Depending on the strategy of their new GM they may be looking to move up in the draft, or they may want to sit out and not give up current assets.
Arizona also has a few big names set to become free agents. Taylor Hall is definitely the biggest, but Brad Richardson and Carl Söderberg will also be unrestricted free agents. Christian Fischer, Vinnie Hinostroza, and Ilya Lyubushkin are all set to be restricted free agents.
