Time is really weird right now. The NHL season start date hasn't even been officially announced, and yet we are steadily getting information about the upcoming World Juniors.
Earlier today Chris Peters tweeted out Finland's roster for the upcoming World Juniors Tournament. On that list was the Coyotes' 2019 fifth-round pick Aku Räty.
After being drafted by the Coyotes, Räty went back to Finland. He played 32 games with Kärpät in Finland's top league Liiga as well as 18 games with the Kärpät U20 team in the junior league.
This will be Räty's second trip to the World Juniors after last year. In seven games last year he had two goals and an assist.
While North American hockey has largely stopped, Räty has continued to play in Finland. He has played four games with Kärpät in Liiga and two games with their under 20 team. He has been held pointless in his six games.
Räty's time in Finland's top league and the World Juniors has impressed. In our series of 25 Coyotes players under the age of 25, we ranked him 18th overall.
