This past weekend the Arizona Coyotes reassigned five players to their respective teams. Today it was announced that four more players have cleared waivers and will be reassigned to the Tucson Roadrunners.

The four players are forwards Beau Bennett and Andy Miele and defensemen Dysin Mayo and Robbie Russo.

None of the moves are very surprising and it was expected that these players were going to spend a majority of the season in the AHL barring injuries.

With the reduction, the Coyotes are looking more and more like the team we are going to see opening night. Also, the Roadrunners are looking a lot closer to the team they will ice in Tucson for the season barring any injuries.

Andy Miele is a former Coyotes prospect who signed as a free agent after playing in the SHL and KHL the past three seasons. Beau Bennett also spent last season in the KHL and was limited to just five games with HC Dinamo Minsk. Dysin Mayo was drafted by the then-Phoenix Coyotes in the fifth round of the 2014 draft and has spent the past three seasons with the Tucson Roadrunners and the Rapid City Rush in the ECHL. Robbie Russo was originally drafted by the New York Islanders in the fourth round of the 2011 draft and he spent last season with the Roadrunners where he wore an “A” and recorded 6 goals and 33 assists in 67 games.
