It’s still over a hundred degrees in Phoenix, but hockey season right around the corner. Believe it or not but the first preseason game is only days away and will feature the Arizona Coyotes go on the road to play the Vegas Golden Knights this Sunday.
Showing just how close we are to the season starting, today the Coyotes announced the roster for the 2019-20 Veteran’s Training Camp roster.

Seven goalies, 21 defensemen, 33 forwards. They’ll be broken up into three separate groups to start.
On-ice sessions begin tomorrow (Friday, 9 a.m.) at Gila River Arena. pic.twitter.com/kTlfx3nSpm
The camp will feature a few invites including defensemen Brady Lyle and Connor Hall and forwards Jeremy Gregoire, Jonathon Martin, David Levin, Eric Uba, Keeghan Howdeshell, and Kelly Klima. There were no goaltender invites, mostly because the Coyotes have enough goaltenders in their pipeline.
A big surprise of the rookie camp has been the emergence of Jan Jenik. Jenik is a former third-round pick who split last season in the Czech Republic and the OHL and he found success with both.
