It might not feel like it because it’s still over 100 degrees outside, but hockey season is getting closer. Case in point, Gila River Arena has ice again.

While Gila River Arena’s ice doesn’t get a lot of praise it’s great to see it again.
The next major event in the offseason will be the start of the training camp in the next few weeks and then the preseason starting Sunday September 15th against the Vegas Golden Knights. The first home preseason game will be a split squadron game against the Los Angeles Kings Tuesday the 17th and the first full squad home game against the Anaheim Ducks on Saturday the 21st.
Finally the regular season starts for the Arizona Coyotes on October 3rd against the Ducks with the first home game on that new ice on Saturday October 5th.
