Yesterday was a big day at the 2020 World Juniors for Team Canada and Arizona Coyotes prospect Barrett Hayton. Team Canada lost their match against Team Russia 6-0 and during the Russian anthem Hayton left his helmet on.

Both Barrett Hayton and Hockey Canada have since issued statements apologizing for the incident.

After a win in their first match, Team Czech Republic fell 4-3 to Team Germany. Forward Jan Jenik played 22:38 during that match and scored his second goal of the tournament.

Playing with Team Sweden, first-round pick Victor Soderstrom had another good game. He led his team in time on ice playing 21:28 and had his third assist of the tournament.

Finally, Team Finland had the biggest margin of victory of the tournament so far with an 8-1 win against Team Slovakia. Team Finland has two Coyotes prospects, Matias Maccelli and Aku Räty. Matias had two assists and lead his team in time on ice playing 20:32. Räty scored his first two goals of the tournament and was a +4 for the game.
