Game Preview

The Arizona Coyotes are back home in Glendale after a huge win against the Minnesota Wild and looking to take on the Philadelphia Flyers. Despite going down 3-0 early in the Thursday night’s game the team never quit and was able to come back and get the winner in Overtime. In fact it was rookie Clayton Keller who scored his first goal of the new year to get the win, here’s hoping he can continue that trend.

The Coyotes have played well as of late and if they can keep the Flyers from scoring early they have a chance to extend their 4 game win streak against them. The last time the Flyers beat the Coyotes was on February 27, 2016. The Coyotes need to shut down players like Jakub Voracek and Claude Giroux both are in the top ten in scoring with 63 and 61 points, respectively. For comparison The Coyotes top scorer, Keller, only has 37 points.

The Flyers have experienced troubles of their own this season with a fairly terrible 10-game losing streak in late November early December. They managed to bounce back and are now precariously holding the first Wildcard spot in the Eastern Conference.

The Flyers will be looking for revenge on the Coyotes after they gave the team their very first OT win in October. They will also be looking to start their desert road trip off right as they are facing the Vegas Golden Knights tomorrow. For more information on the Flyers check out Broad Street Hockey.
