Bob McKenzie tweeted out just moments ago that The Coyotes are were parting ways with long serving Coach Dave Tippett.
Evolving situation in ARI but upshot is Coyotes and head coach Dave Tippett apparently on verge of parting ways. Announcement expected soon.

Friedman also had the report as well.
There is no immediate replacement for Dave Tippett in ARIZ. The Coyotes' coaching job will be open and they will search for a replacement

Craig Morgan confirmed that they had mutually parted ways.

Tip was not a fan of Mike Smith trade, not a fan of how things went down w/Shane Doan. Don't think relationship with Barroway was working.

I can confirm with my own contact that this is the case as well.
Dave Tippett is no longer involved with the Arizona Coyotes franchise.
Tippett came to the Coyotes when they had no coach and very little prospect of going anywhere. He took the team to the playoffs the first three years as coach and to the Western Conference finals in 2012.
With this firing, so close to the draft, it makes you wonder if something bigger is on it’s way.
Here is the link to the official statement from the team.
