Oliver Ekman-Larsson Leave of Absence

Oliver Ekman-Larsson is on a leave of absence due to the death of his mother in Sweden and will miss the last games of the season. Through some interviews with GM John Chayka and Head Coach Dave Tippett, this seems to have been a long going issue and OEL tried to play through it but it did effect him this season. Please keep OEL’s family in your thoughts and prayers.

Shane Doan and Radim Vrbata injured

Shane Doan was out with a lower-body injury last night against the Dallas Stars, as was Radim Vrbata. Sarah McLellan from AZ Central tweeted this after the game.

Hopefully, they can play out the rest of the season at home with just two games left.

In The Standings

With the Coyotes picking up one point against Dallas, they now have 68 points, just one point behind the Vancouver Canucks who are at 69 points. The Coyotes, at the moment, are still 29th in the league. They play Vancouver on Thursday.

Change in FFH Management

On Monday, it was announced that Brendan Porter is stepping back as Managing Editor, read his going away post here. We have been extremely lucky to have him as Managing Editor for the last few seasons and we will miss him a lot in the day to day operations of the site.

We also announced that I, Sarah, will be taking over as Managing Editor. I am excited to help bring even better content to everyone at FFH.

The changeover will be official after the last game of the season.
