Coyotes get shut out in Columbus 1-0

The Coyotes give up a goal 30 seconds in, and that's all it took.

NHL: Arizona Coyotes at Columbus Blue Jackets Russell LaBounty-USA TODAY Sports

The Coyotes just couldn’t find the back of the net in this game, but Sergei Bobrovsky kept the Blue Jackets in the game.

Scoring Summary

First Period

1-0 Columbus: Just 30 seconds in Josh Anderson spins around the net and puts it over the shoulder of Antti Raanta, assists from Artemi Panarin and Pierre-Luc Dubois.

Second Period

No scoring change in the second period, not for lack of trying. Coyotes started to look like themselves.

Third Period

No Goals, Coyotes just couldn’t get it going tonight.

Three Answers

Is Antti Raanta healthy?

Yes, thankfully. He let a bad goal in 30 seconds in but was amazing through the rest of the game.

What about the blue line in front of him?

Considering they don’t have Niklas Hjalmarsson right now, they look... better than against Boston. Jason Demers did take a puck to the throat though, but he came back strong all game.

Who steps up on offense?

Well. No one, we were shutout for the second time this season. Sergei Bobrovsky looks like last season’s Bobrovsky. Clayton Keller hit the crossbar a few times but couldn’t convert.

Players of the Game

Arizona- Anthony Duclair had so many chances that, if it wasn’t Bobrovsky, they would have gone in.

Columbus- Sergei Bobrovsky stole this game for the Blue Jackets, hands down.
