The 2016 NHL Draft gets underway tonight in Buffalo, where Arizona will take center stage.
In addition to the Arizona Coyotes having two first round selections, the 1st overall selection will likely be Scottsdale, Arizona native Auston Matthews. Though Coyotes fans undoubtedly had hopes that Matthews would begin plying his trade in Arizona, he will be heading to the center of the hockey universe should the Toronto Maple Leafs select him at #1 as expected.
