The Arizona Coyotes have announced they have acquired the negotiating rights to Alex Goligoski for a 5th round pick in 2016. If the Coyotes do not sign Goligoski by July 1st, he will be a free agent.
The 30 year old defenseman comes over from the Dallas Stars where last season he played 82 games and had 5 goals and 32 assists with 34 penalty minutes. He is a left handed defenseman who primarily played with John Klingberg last season. He was originally drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins in the 2nd round in 2004.
