The Arizona Coyotes announced on Monday morning that defenseman Anthony DeAngelo and forward Tyler Gaudet have both been recalled from the Tucson Roadrunners of the American Hockey League.

DeAngelo has a goal and four assists in eight AHL games this season, while Gaudet has a pair of goals and three assists for Tucson.

The moves come as Arizona has been hamstrung by injuries to center Martin Hanzal and right-handed defenseman Michael Stone, who have both been moved to injured reserve. DeAngelo and Gaudet will help fill the gaps at both positions.

Gaudet has a goal and two assists in 16 NHL games since signing with the Coyotes as an undrafted free agent in the 2013-14 season. DeAngelo scored six goals and had 37 assists last year with the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL, but has yet to play in an NHL game. He was acquired by the Coyotes this summer from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for the 37th overall selection at the 2016 NHL Draft.

It is possible one or both will make their season debuts in Colorado on Tuesday night.
