Arizona Coyotes promotion schedule: The 9 dates you need to know!

Only nine days remain until the preseason begins for the Coyotes. Below are the nine promotion nights fans need to attend.

Christian Petersen

Everyone likes free stuff. Whether it is a t-shirt ejected from an air cannon, a pair of tickets won from a radio station or a team sponsored giveaway night, everyone likes free stuff. That is why we at Five for Howling have comprised a list of nine nights you can not miss, including six nights of free giveaways.

Thursday, Oct. 9 vs. Winnipeg Jets:

Not only is it opening night, but all fans in attendance will get a free Arizona Coyotes t-shirt as well as a free magnetic schedule. Let's be honest, we all love the free magnetic schedules. And beating Winnipeg.

Saturday, Oct. 25 vs. Florida Panthers:

Howl-O-Ween festivities will take place six days before the holiday as the Coyotes are begging for fans to attend an October game against the Panthers (at least it is a Saturday). Bring the kids as the first 5,000 will receive a Howl-O-Ween pillowcase and will get to trick-or-treat on the suite level.

Saturday, Nov. 8 vs New York Islanders:

It is Hockey Fights Cancer night, so while you pick up your Oliver Ekman-Larsson bobble head (first 5,000 in attendance), make sure to open your wallet and loosen your purse strings and give to help fight cancer. After the game all fans will have the opportunity to compete in the Fry's Food Stores Turkey Shoot and win a free Thanksgiving turkey.

Saturday, Jan. 3 vs Columbus Blue Jackets:

New year, new blanket as the Coyotes will give out 5,000 fleece blankets in their first game of 2015 to help you get through those frigid 50 degree nights.

Thursday, Mar. 5 vs Vancouver Canucks:

The night many of us have been waiting for--throwback night. The Coyotes will wear their original uniforms and the first 5,000 in attendance will receive a throwback Jeremy Roenick bobblehead. Apropos because a few fans might actually want to throw back that bobblehead.

Saturday, Apr. 11 vs Anaheim Ducks:

Fan appreciation night, and hopefully not the final home game of the season. There are always a cornucopia of giveaways on that night.

$1 Nights:

While it technically does not count as free, it is pretty darn close. $1 hot dogs, sodas and popcorn will be available on the following nights:

Saturday, Oct. 18 vs. St. Louis
Saturday Jan. 3 vs. Columbus
Monday, Mar. 9 vs. Nashville
