Since we last checked in with the Manchester Phoenix 2 weeks ago, the Phoenix have won some and lost some, including a recent win over the Jets. The Phoenix started strong, although as the season has dragged on they have been more susceptible to losses.
Since we last checked in with the Phoenix they were shutout by the Bracknell Bees 0-2 before redeeming themselves against the Bees 3-1. They also lost a 6-4 Cup match against the Guildford Flames. This past weekend they split. On Saturday they got destroyed by the Swindon Wildcats 6-1, but rebounded with a 7-3 win over the Slough Jets..
Although the Phoenix have been up and down, they are still in good position. They are currently 2 points behind the Basingstoke Bison for the English Premier League Cup and 3rd in the English Premier League. They will next be playing against the Guildford Flames this coming Saturday. The Flames are currently 2nd in the EPL. Just one win will not move them up a space but it puts them one step closer to retaking first place in the EPL.
