Yesterday's game between the two teams featured yet another dominant performance by the Sun Devils, as they defeated U of A for the 25th consecutive time by a final score of 11-3. Despite the lopsided score, the Wildcats were still in the mix after one period only being down 2-0, but would concede four goals in the 2nd and five more in the third to squelch any chance at a comeback. U of A will look to keep the shot margins closer tonight, as they surrendered 45 shots to the Sun Devils while only mustering 25 of their own.
ASU meanwhile will want to continue displaying the dominance they showed in both last night's game and the previous one against Texas A & M, where they blew out their opponent 13-0. Seven different Sun Devils lit the lamp last night, including a hat trick by Regina native Kale Dolinski. Spreading the offense around and generating a strong, consistent forecheck will be key for ASU in their attempt to sweep their in-state rivals.
[And yes, we are aware that the picture is not of the ASU hockey program - we're working on it. But how cool would it be if they spiked the pitchfork into center ice right before the game started, right?!?]
