Countdown To Coyotes Preseason: 46 Days

There are 46 days remaining until we finally get some Phoenix Coyotes hockey. This means the Countdown to Coyotes Preseason continues with number 46. The 46^th game of the 2011-2012 season saw scoring milestones for Boyd Gordon, Gilbert Brule and the Coyotes team against the Colorado Avalanche on MLK day.

The 46^th game was Boyd Gordon's first and only multi-goal game. Gordon scored both of his goals less than nine minutes apart. His two goals were a part of a six goal outburst by the Coyotes, which matched their highest goal total in a single game since 2006. The game also featured the first goal and assist for Gilbert Brule in a Coyotes sweater.

The 46^th game also happened to be the first home game since Shane Doan scored his first career hat trick. Doan's encore included two more goals. The 6-1 victory was the largest margin of victory for the Coyotes last season.
