There are only 32 days between now and the drop of the puck at Jobing.com Arena for the first Phoenix Coyotes preseason game. The number 32 was worn by now former Coyote Michal Rozsival.

Rozsival played 87 games with the Coyotes over the last season and a half. Rozsival was acquired from the New York Rangers on January 10, 2011 in exchange for Wojtek Wolski. Rozsvial scored four goals and 19 points while posting a +11 rating with the Coyotes. Rozsival also played 19 playoff games with the Coyotes but recorded no points.

Rozsival will turn 34 in under two weeks and currently remains un-signed. It is unfortunate that Rozsival's last moment with the Coyotes involved being helped off the ice in game five of the Western Conference Finals just seconds before the Coyotes season ended. The injury to Rozsival was a hot-button issue around Phoenix and the NHL because no penalty was assessed on the play.

Although he was always an injury risk, Rozsival was a solid defenseman for the Coyotes who helped ease the transition to younger, up-and-coming defensemen.
