Coyotes Tracks - August 10, 2012 - The Ownership Nightmare Coming To An End?

Could the Phoenix Coyotes ownership saga truly be coming to an end? Last night the site reported the answer appears to be yes. Hopefully the ownership news will trigger even more happy news. With an ownership group in place the chances of seeing Shane Doan back in a Coyotes uniform this coming season should improve.

All the NHL news wasn't positive on Thursday. Commissioner Gary Bettman stated the league would lock out the players if there wasn't a collective bargaining agreement in place when the old one expires on September 15th. Fans should get used to statements like Bettman's. Based on past labor negotiations there will likely be a fair amount of posturing by both sides before a deal is reached.
