Yesterday the anti-Coyotes petition was turned it, but it probably isn't going to matter. The City of Glendale has said that the petitions are being turned in late, and it appears that they did not have enough signatures either. This news came the day after the city announced that the tax petition was rejected due to numerous errors, so it appears there aren't that many roadblocks for a Coyotes sale. Last night I noticed that the waves of the internet seemed to have calmed in regards to a Yotes sale, everyone is waiting for an official announcement, but after 3 years of limbo people are still cautious. I expect though that in the next week or two there will be a lot of activity though, mostly because I believe an ownership announcement is coming soon.

Interestingly enough Shane Doan's agent said that there is no longer a deadline for his decision over where he will be playing next season, which could potentially be a good sign. It was reported over Twitter that Doaner was meeting with potential owner Greg Jamison, and its entirely possibly that Jamison said that the deal was going to get done but it may not happen by the 9th or the 16th.

We have a lot of Coyotes news, some Glendale petition news, and some hockey news all after the jump below.
