Watching the Phoenix Coyotes during their losing streak has been like watching the movie Groundhog Day. It's the same thing over and over again. Phoenix gives up multiple first period goals and then spends the rest of the game trying to come back. They partially succeeded Thursday night, but still managed to lose the game in a shoot out to a team playing five defensemen and having to play a prospect goalie after their normal backup went out due to injury. The worst part of the game may have been the loss of center Martin Hanzal in the first period. Let's hope his "upper body injury" heals fast.
Postgame reaction, recaps for the large slate of games that affected the playoff chase in the West, and more in today's Tracks.
