Coyotes Tracks - June 27, 2011 - Portland for Prospects?

Rumor has it that this morning the Coyotes will announce their new AHL affiliation will be with the Portland Pirates.  The Pirates have been around for almost 20 years.  They were originally the Washington Capitals AHL farm club.  Since the Caps moved their affiliation in 2005, the Pirates have been the farm club for the Ducks and then most recently the Sabres.  Once the Sabres decided to return to Rochester (buying the club outright), Portland was a club in need of a new NHL team.
