Your 2009-10 Phoenix Coyotes - As It Stands Right Now...

Here's what it looks like we'll be rolling with on opening night. Barring anyone actually signing Alex Tanguay or some other craziness. I swear if those Heatley whispers are true i'm not going to be happy. I don't want the friggin guy...

Forward Lines

Shane Doan - Peter Mueller - Mikkel Boedker (?)

Petr Prucha - Matthew Lombardi - Scottie Upshall

Radim Vrbata - Martin Hanzal - Kyle Turris

Lauri Korpikoski - Vernon Fiddler - Viktor Tikhonov

Reserves: Daniel Winnik

Defense

Zbynek Michalek - Kurt Sauer

Ed Jovanovski - Adrian Aucoin

Keith Yandle - Jim Vandermeer

Goalies

Ilya Bryzgalov

Jason LaBarbera

Those are my best guesses on what the lines and pairings could be, but there are plenty of people that could make a charge out of camp. Brett MacLean could make things interesting, Kevin Porter and Chad Kolarik have all spent their time in San Antonio and could be getting close. We don't have a 7th Defenseman right now so Jonas Ahnelov might be able to make the team, but it's all about if we want him to have that many games sitting on the sidelines. He's still got some growing to do so it might not be time yet. If that's the case we'll need to find an inexpensive 6/7 guy in case of injuries. With how many shots we like to block it certainly something we're going to need.

I tried to keep successful line/pairings together, such as, Prucha - Lombardi - Upshall and Michalek-Sauer together as much as possible. And I have no idea where Kyle Turris is going to fit into this year's line up. If he's going to be a center then it's got to be on the first or second lines, the third and fourth are just too big and grinding for him to fit in on. It's possible he could be the Center for Doan and Mueller if Peter goes back to the wing, but that's a lot of pressure to play top line minutes and it's not clear if he's ready for that yet.

What are your thoughts? Anything you're seeing that could be different? Put em' in the comments.
