Gretzky also revealed that he thought the team’s financial situation would be resolved in the next "three to four weeks and that new ownership could potentially add a piece or two to the team in the form of free agents to supplement the youth movement. Darren Dreger at TSN is reporting that the Coyotes now have two offers on the table to purchase the team. Hopefully this gets taken care of quickly so that the Yotes can be players in the Free Agent market this summer...

Coyotes, in severe financial distress and receiving funds from the NHL, cannot make a player move without approval from the league office, Slap Shots has learned. "The Club has agreed to consult with us in connection with all significant financial transactions, including those relating to players," deputy commissioner Bill Daly wrote in an e-mail correspondence, confirming reports from several management sources.
