Coyotes Tracks May 22nd - Lunchtime Edition - OM NOM NOM NOM
He everybody! I'm doing links today! Aren't you excited? Yes? Oh, about the game? Well, I guess that's okay too. Sorry your daily knowledge bomb of everything going on about the Coyotes is late. You'll just have to bask in the light of your computer monitor while you eat that rice bowl or whatever you have. If you packed a bologna sandwich then I'm very sorry. You should plan lunch better. We'll have some semblance of a preview up later today and then it's game 5! (Which will hopefully lead to game 6 and game 7) See you then!

Coyotes Tracks - May 21, 2012 - Dogs Refuse To Be Swept
For the first time in over a week we have links full of positive news when it comes to the Valley's hockey club. In addition to an avalanche of links on Game 4 of the Western Conference Final, we've got on the Russians gold medal performance at the Worlds, Brandon Prust receiving a Shanaban, and looks ahead to tonight's Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Final. The game between the Rangers and Devils can be seen at 5 p.m. MST on the NBC Sports Network.
Also, as of 6:30 am MST this morning, Game 5 of the Kings vs. Coyotes series in Glendale on Tuesday night was approximately 1,500 tickets short of being a sell out. If you haven't bought your tickets already now would be a good time to do so.

WCF: Phoenix Coyotes @ Los Angeles Kings Game 4 Recap: Captain Coyote To The Rescue
[GameCenter - Ice Tracker - Game Summary - Event Summary - Faceoff Summary - Play-by-Play - Home TOI - Visitor TOI - Shift Charts - Head-to-Head - Fenwick/Corsi - Zone Starts - Fenwick Timeline]
The Phoenix Coyotes left their game against the LA Kings on Sunday the same way they entered it. 60 minutes away from elimination. For the first time in the Western Conference Final, Phoenix displayed a sustained aggressive forecheck of their own combined with the will to win puck battles and better passing. Add in the Desert Dogs Captain Shane Doan playing like a man possessed and Mike Smith continuing his outstanding play on the road in the playoffs and it added up to a 2-0 Coyotes victory.
Coyotes Tracks - May 20th, 2012 - David Vs Kopitar
More than one hockey pundits are thinking that the Phoenix Coyotes are going to get swept by the Los Angeles Kings this afternoon. These same pundits didn't think that the Coyotes could beat the Blackhawks or the Predators so we know how often they are right. The Coyotes need to take it one shift at a time this afternoon and if they get help from everyone and they stay focused they have a good chance to win the game. As we know a team is very dangerous when they are facing a sweep and when they are facing elimination and this afternoon the Coyotes will be facing both. It is cliche to say that you don't get anything for winning 3 games in the playoffs and later today the Desert Dogs are going to need to show the world why they say that.
There wasn't a lot of hockey news yesterday, the New York Rangers beat the New Jersey Devils, but other than that there wasn't a lot of news. We do have a few links though and they are all after the jump.
WCF: Phoenix Coyotes @ Los Angeles Kings Game 4: Time For The Cliches
With the Phoenix Coyotes in a do or die situation down 3-0 in their series with the Los Angeles Kings, it is now or never for the Desert Dogs. The question is will they come out fighting now that their backs are against the wall. However, as they say the close out game in a playoff series is always the hardest to win for the team leading the series.
Coyotes Tracks - May 19th, 2012 - The Hole The Coyotes Dug
The Coyotes had a day off yesterday complete with an optional skate which had a few players sitting out hoping to get their minds off playoff hockey for a bit. You have to imagine the stress of being down 3-0 in a series has an effect on a player, although the Yotes who were here last year know the scenario all to well. Luckily, they do not give you anything for winning 3 games and the Coyotes still have a chance to do something, no matter how small that chance is. I did not read anything giving a definitive answer but it seems extremely possible that Adrian Aucoin may be returning and Martin Hanzal's suspension is up so he will be playing in Game 4, which means the Coyotes may have their strongest lineup to date. Also we have some good news on the ownership saga, the City of Glendale earmarked $17 million for the arena management deal which is a small step closer to something getting done on that front.
Last night we did not have any games played, I personally caught up on episodes of 30 Rock and Metalocalypse that I had missed, but we do have some links about the Coyotes and the hockey world all after the jump.
Coyotes Tracks - May 18, 2012 - No Answer
The Phoenix Coyotes couldn't solve the playoff riddle that is the LA Kings again on Thursday night. Phoenix will try on Sunday afternoon to find a way to avoid getting swept in front of a network TV audience. There was good news off the ice on Thursday as Mike Sunnucks from the Phoenix Business Journal reported Greg Jamison may be inching closer to becoming the team's owner. See the link below in 'Coyotes News' for details.
While there is no NHL hockey tonight, don't fear hockey fans. The NHL Network is showing the first game of the Memorial Cup live at 4 p.m. MST today.
