Wyshinski at Puck Daddy nails this one...very, very amusing. Poor Howler - I have McD's gift certificates for you, buddy...just swing by Section 115 at the next game!

Also, in another article on Puck Daddy, the numbers crunchers revealed that Anton Volchenkov passed the 1000 blocked shot. I ran the numbers and it looks like our boy Z will be there next year as he currently sits at 853...note that the stat has only been kept since after the lockout...but that is a lot of black and blues...I'm sure some of our Czech fans would be happy to care for them, Z.

Another fabulous commercial out of the Bruins organization (s/t Puck Daddy who has this on the front page) - these commercials are truly phenomenal...Thankfully, Coyotes fans don't do this too much...

Just a reminder folks, today is the day of the Coyotes Carnival! I know I'll be going, hope to see some of you guys there too!

I did some investigating, and it turns out the Coyotes own the ignoble honour of the longest playoff futility streak in NHL history, surpassing the '50s and '60s New York Rangers by missing the playoffs last year.

I'm personally hoping, for the sake of the fans, that this team is the one to break that streak. They've never won a series in Phoenix, and have only claimed two series since joining the NHL in 1979: it's time for a change.

Heck, I'm not sure they can tell us anything, but I thought this was an interesting analysis of how teams have held down playoff spots in the past. Currently the Coyotes are 12 points up on the 9th place team (although most teams have games in hand compared with the Coyotes). You gotta believe that barring a serious letdown, the Coyotes are going to the playoffs and are now playing for the best possible seed...

s/t to Puck Daddy for this gem...the head jerking back is my favorite part. I know Phoenix isn't a big anti-Crosby market per se, but I really wish he would cut this crap out...

Due to popular demand in the comments section of today's Coyote Tracks post...here is the official Coyotes' website version of the Shane Doan and Tyson Nash flying story.

I'm not sure who in the organization thought it was a good idea to send our MVP in a fighter jet while we fight for a playoff spot, but as long as he is fine, I'm cool with that...

Poll on NHL.com, Caps in comparison got Scott Walker, Joe Corvo, Eric Belanger, and Milan Jurcina.

What do you guys think?

Our fearless leader will be joining the SBNation's mothership hockey blog From The Rink for their radio show to discuss the plethora of Coyotes trades today...I'm sure he would post it himself, but he's probably busy working...wait? that's what I'm supposed to be doing too? Surely, you jest...
