Michalek began his career in Houston playing with the Minnesota Wild's AHL affiliate Aeros. He would go on to play 22 games with the Wild before being traded to Phoenix in 2005 in exchange for Erik Westrum and Dustin Wood. The 30-year-old has played two stints in Arizona separated by a two-year run in Pittsburgh. Z has 34 career goals on 701 career shots, good for a 4.3 shooting percentage.
Schlemko was signed by the Coyotes as a free agent in 2007 and played for the Arizona Sundogs of the Central Hockey League. The following season, he played mostly for the Coyotes AHL affiliate which at that time was the San Antonio Rampage. He got his first taste of the NHL that season as he played three games. The 26-year-old has played parts of five seasons with the Coyotes, scoring seven career goals on 162 career shots; a shooting percentage of 4.3.
