The Phoenix Coyotes and FOX Sports Arizona reached an agreement on a new TV deal on Monday. The new agreement ensures that FOX Sports Arizona (regular and plus stations) will televise 70 Coyotes regular season games each year for the next 12 years.
One of IceArizona's main goals this year was striking long-term food and television agreements. The former was accomplished a few weeks ago, the latter on Monday.
"We are very pleased to renew our partnership with FOX Sports Arizona," said Coyotes President and CEO Anthony LeBlanc said in the team's press release. "This new agreement will provide the Coyotes with multiple platforms to promote our team and our brand on Arizona's premier sports network for many years to come. We look forward to FOX Sports Arizona providing our fans with outstanding Coyotes coverage all season. This extension further solidifies the long-term future of the Coyotes franchise in the Valley."
The usual crew of Tyson Nash, Matt McConnell, Todd Walsh and Jody Jackson that Coyotes fans have grown to love, will remain intact.
"FOX Sports Arizona has been with the Phoenix Coyotes since they arrived in Arizona and we look forward to showcasing this new era of Coyotes hockey," said Brian Hogan, FOX Sports Arizona Senior Vice President and General Manager. "This agreement continues our standing as the Coyotes' local television home and destination fans turn to first for the most comprehensive coverage of the Coyotes."
The Coyotes began the season with new owners and no TV deal. However, FOX Sports Arizona televised the majority of Phoenix's games while waiting for an agreement to be reached. KTVK, known as 3TV, televised a handful of games this season as well.
