Coyotes need a new captain,Shane is a great leader for this organization off the ice, but Doan's skill level has fallen considerably, he has trouble staying up with his line mates, loses the puck too easily can not maintain possession of the puck, doesn't cover his man when back on defense he drops the player he is suppose to be on all most everytime.
Hanzal, one of the laziest hockey players I have seen in a long time, he doesn't hussle back for defense, and when he does gain the zone he stands still and watches the play or he skates in a small circle in the cease area watching the play never engaging an opponent. On the power play once in awhile Martin will stand in front of the goal to screen the goalie but usaully he will take the easy way out and stand behind or near the goalline next to the goal waiting for a rebound or a pass.
Yandle, since he had his clock cleaned in the playoffs by
Todd Bertuzzi he has not been the same player, he is afraid to get hit or to that matter hit some one himself. He is a turnover machine, he is so afraid of getting hit he will either pass the puck to any where, usaully to the other team or just let give up possession of the puck to who ever is coming at him.
Worst thing is when both Hanzal and Yandle are on the ice together they turn the puck over all most everytime and it is usaully in our own zone.
One would think the Coyotes GM Don Maloney could package Hanzal and Yandle together so that the Otes could get a top snipper to help out players like Boedker and Lombardi,
