Allen would get on the board late in the first, score one in the second, and then one early in the third to take the lead. With only twelve seconds left in regulation and the goalie pulled for the extra attacker, Arizona defenseman Matt McCready would tie the game, assisted by Chad Langlais and Jeff Kyrzakos. Just 1:43 into the extra frame, Sundogs' forward Kevin Petovello would find the back of the net, assisted by Matt Register and Ron Myers, and give Arizona the 4-3 victory. Arizona totaled 42 shots on goal, and goalie Adam Russo made 27 saves on 30 shots.

Allen would get the only goal in the opening period on Saturday night. With his team on the power play, Sundogs' forward Chad Nehring would tie the game midway through the second period, assisted by Matt McCready and Ron Myers. The Americans would retake the lead early in the third period and hold on for the 2-1 win. The Sundogs had 48 shots on goal, and goalie Adam Russo turned away 44 of the 46 shots he faced.

The two teams would then travel to Texas for a midday game on Monday. Arizona forward Kevin Petovello would get his team on the board, assisted by Cody Purves and Ron Myers, with a goal early in the first. Three minutes later, forward Ron Myers would extend the Sundogs lead, assisted by Kevin Petovello and Cody Purves. The Americans would score one in the first period and the only goal in the second to tie the game. Late in the third, Ron Myers would light the lamp once again, assisted by Chad Langlais and Kevin Petovello, and earn his team the 3-2 victory. Arizona totaled 33 shots on goal, and goalie David Brown made 20 saves on 22 shots. Unable to find the back of the net, Sundogs' forward Chad Nehring's 13 game point streak would come to an end Monday.
