Phoenix Coyotes fans can breathe a massive sigh of relief today, as Shane Doan has signed a 4 year contract to remain with the team. Initial reports from John Gambadoro of 620 AM KTAR is that the contract is worth $21.2 million with $2 million in bonus money. We will have more specific details as they become available, but the best news is that Doan will be with the team for the immediate future.

UPDATE: In case you don't have enough evidence as to how awesome Doaner is, here's a tweet from Darren Dreger of TSN about his contract structure:

4 yrs, $21.2 for Doan to stay in Phx.$2 mil in bonus will be deferred until after contract expires. $1 mil in 2016-17 and $1 mil year after.

So the signing bonus he's getting is deferred until the end of the contract when Jamison (hopefully) has firm control of the reins.
