Gilbert Brule has signed a deal that will see him playing for the Zurich Lions in the Swiss league NLA this season. Brule, who was claimed off re-entry waivers from the Edmonton Oilers seemed to find the traction in the desert that he couldn't find with his two previous teams; Columbus Blue Jackets and Edmonton Oilers. In 45 games as a Phoenix Coyote, the 25 year old center netted 5 goals and 9 assists. During the Coyotes deep playoff run, Brule's increased his goal amount by 2 and adding an assist. Brule was set to be a unrestricted free agent at the end of the season but the Coyotes opted to not re-sign him.
