Dear Readers,

The store is closed. Three of the us have gone duck hunting, two have gone fishing for sharks, and the rest are attempting to stream NBC's Olympic coverage on our laptops. Why? Because we have officially reached the dog days of Summer (no pun intended). There is still no news as of Sunday evening on the Doan free agency front. Nor is there news on whether or not Greg Jamison is closer to buying the Phoenix Coyotes. With the Summer Olympics going on hockey news in general has also seemingly come to a standstill.

In summary, it's an open thread day. Feel free, as always, to post in the comments section about any hockey news you see, the latest Olympics results, Haboob warnings in your neighborhood, or whatever else strikes your fancy.
