Earlier this week the Phoenix Coyotes beat the team with the most points in the NHL, the Vancouver Canucks. Last night the Coyotes lost to the team with the fewest points in the NHL, the Columbus Blue Jackets. While this is disappointing and puzzling nobody needs to panic yet. Are the Coyotes going to have to work hard to make sure that they win games like this for the rest of the month? Definitely. Is this a sign that they are going to go on a slide and fall out of the playoffs? Absolutely not. Could they still win the Pacific Division? They can if they play better, they still lead it with 75 points, although San Jose and Dallas are only two points behind them and Dallas will be playing tonight.
Hopefully that serves as a wake-up call and now the Coyotes know what they are going to need to do to win again, like they did all last month. And they will get their chance at revenge playing Columbus on Tuesday. But we got some news for you, some Coyotes news, some minor league news, and some general hockey news.
