The Phoenix Coyotes had struggled over the past several weeks to get things going in the right direction and book a ticket for a third straight postseason berth. Coming out of the All Star Break with a disheartening loss to Anaheim didn't help move the dial in the right direction either. That seems like a long time ago following the 6 points accumulated over the past 72 hours against the Sharks, Red Wings and Stars. The Coyotes played a dominant road game and climbed into a tie for 8th place in the Western Conference (although the teams around them each have games in hand).
