[Bumping to the front page because it's an interesting discussion - Jordan]
I have always wondered, "Am I the only Coyotes fan who thinks the current jerseys are a little...bland?" Now please understand, I really like the current logo and all, but I really think that there is a lot of potential for a new concept that rearranges what we have now into something awesome.
There really is no need to reinvent the wheel or do anything dramatic. What we have right now works. It's established, and it doesn't look like an acid trip scene from Fear and Loathing (hasn't always been the case). It might be beneficial to tweak a few things here and there. Personally, I think that adding black shoulders (like the red shoulders on the aways) and some black piping (like the Predators have on their jerseys) would be pretty nice touches for the home uni's.
After the jump, some more pretty cool concepts that Google showed me.
What I like is that the current jerseys are simple. They wouldn't require a huge rebranding effort to significantly improve upon. A cut here, a snip there and we could have something classic.
If we got a new owner and kept the team (knock on wood, say a prayer), would you guys get excited about revamped jersey design?
It might be a creative way for the franchise to reinvigorate the fan base, create some separation from these rough couple of years, and bring in some new merchandise money.
