Well, I would assume that the Kings make it next year, meaning that their pick would be lower… So the ideal situation for the Jackets is that they miss the playoffs. I would definitely count on this year’s pick being higher than their 2013 pick.

Every time the Coyotes seem to pull into a tie with San Jose or first in the pacific they go into a slide. It’s not realistic to win every game, but if they lose tonight they need to make sure to comeback strong the next game. Not that this one is over by any stretch.

Anyone noticed a slight uptick in media coverage for the Yotes lately?
I keep hearing brief shout outs on local music stations and more sports radio coverage.
Since the Chicago game every day I have gone to my internship, first thing in the morning someone talks to me about the ownership rumors they read about, mentions that they watched the game the last night, heard the highlights on the radio, etc. I have even convinced a couple of them to come to a game.
From all accounts the press box has been a bit more crowded every night. I don’t listen to the radio much so I can’t say there’s been an increase in coverage. If so, good ownership news and a 9 game point streak tend to do that.

Morris – family illness, unknown return
Klesla – likely concussion, day-to-day but might be a while
Chipchura – wrist or arm or shoulder – no idea when he will be back
Brule – likely concussion but not sure; haven’t heard a timetable.
Rundblad is with the team but a healthy scratch tonight with Stone playing instead

That play be Boedker bringing the puck through the neutral zone isn’t going to make any highlight reels, but it’s a great play allowing his d and linemates to get changes while he works the puck down the ice in traffic. It’s plays like that that keep him in the lineup even though his offensive numbers are not where anyone would like.
