Coyotes Tracks - September 21, 2011 - Miele shines in Anaheim

The Phoenix Coyotes took to the ice for their first preseason game last night in Anaheim.  The result was a 7-4 win over the Ducks with Andy Miele getting the first star of the game.  The Coyotes return to the ice for split squad games with the Los Angeles Kings in L.A. and Glendale this evening.  The game at Jobing.com Arena begins at 7 p.m. MST and the one at Staples center begins at 7:30p.m. MST.

Apologies...

We’re not exactly in regular season form yet. I made an appearance at the game but forgot Zoey’s headphones and she was not a happy camper. Listened to some of the rest of the game online and on the radio. Sounds like it was a bummer of a loss; top line of Doan-Langkow-Whitney sounded like they were creating opportunities throughout the game and Yandle was everywhere on the ice.

Thoughts From LA

-Justin Pogge made a ton of saves and was 2nd star; Domingue played well also

-Best 2 offensive players were Andy Miele and Patrick O’Sullivan

-Wasn’t following your defense at all so I can’t comment

-Brett Hextall can go to Hell
