It looks like the Coyotes have their starter as they've signed former Lightning backup tender Mike Smith to a 2 year 4 million dollar deal. Smith has had his share of injuries over the past few seasons, but in the playoffs he really shined with a .958 save percentage and giving up 2 goals in 3 games. That being said, he's had some seasons of .899 and .893 to go along with two of .916 and .912. Just not sure what goalie you're getting with him right now. The plus side is that Dave Tippett know what kind of player he is as he did have him back in his Dallas Stars days. Smith is a solid pickup though in a goalie market that was devoid of pretty much any for sure starters outside of Tomas Vokoun. Vokoun my have just too crazy of a price tag for the Coyotes to have gone out and gotten though.
