So as we left the arena, we ran into Hulsizer again with a larger group of friends. He ended up getting locked out of the building and we were joking with him that they should have given him keys already. After helping him get the attention of the security guards to get back in the building we gave him a big cheer, he gave us a thumbs up and that was that.

Also – just gotta say that I’m probably even more impressed with the fans sticking around until the end of the game to cheer on the team than I was last year. This was a much more disappointing playoff ending and the fans were just as loud and passionate in letting the Coyotes players know how much their efforts this year were appreciated. I hope that Matt hadn’t already been locked out while this happened because if there is any true gauge of what this fan base will be, that was it. I’m not one to cry over sports too much, but watching Yandle and Doan at center ice saluting the fans while choking back tears brought a few tears to my eyes as well.
