As the headline says, Coyotes forward Scottie Upshall has been suspended two games for his hit on Oskars Bartulis in the second period of last night's game against the Flyers. Upshall said after the game that he wasn't trying to hit him late and just caught him badly, but that apparently wasn't enough for the NHL's wheel of justice. Upshall will miss tonight's game against the Lightning as well as Friday's game in Columbus.
Bartulis was supposed to have gotten an MRI to assess the extent of the injury he did receive on the play but so far the Flyers haven't said what the results of that MRI were or how long Bartulis is expected to be out.
