Now, I'll be the first to admit, I'm a Jarome Iginla fan. I have the Reebok reissue of the 80's Flames uniform in my closet (and it gets more wear than a western conference rivals jersey should.
So - if the Flames are in rebuild mode...AND rumours are that they are interested in everyones favorite holdout (Kyle Turris)..
To PHX: Jarome Iginla

I’m buying the trade even though it leaves Yotes lacking skill down the middle. Turris is still a question mark as to whether he reaches his potential. You know what you will get with Iggy and the Yotes certainly need another scoring winger.

GMDM did seem to back off of that hardline “We’re not trading him under any circumstances” stance he had during the holdout. But I wonder if he’s willing to take the cap hit to get him.

I’m sure GMDM would take the hit if he controlled the budget. However, since he doesn’t its the reason why this trade won’t happen. Well, unless Iggy is still on the market when the franchise gets new ownership.
