Donate to Defending the Blue Line, Watch Travis Nearly Die

For those of you not following on twitter, I'm having some "fun" and getting in shape to run a 5k in February and following that up (fitness depending) with a half-marathon in May. Sure. I get in shape. Super. Great. But why not raise some money for a good cause in the process? To that end myself, and Jen (@NHLHistoryGirl) are "competing" to raise more money than the other for Defending the Blue Line, a great hockey charity.

Our mission at Defending The Blue Line (DTBL) is ensuring that children of military members are afforded every opportunity to participate in the game of hockey. We accomplish this by providing free equipment for military kids, hockey camps, special events, and financial assistance for registration fees and other costs associated with hockey.

Hockey, solidier's kids, the posibility of me finishing last in a couple races. What's the downside? There isn't one. Even if you just donate a buck or two it's something! Here's a link to the fundraising page. I never even touch the money.
