The Phoenix Coyotes announced today that they have sent Viktor Tinkhonv, Mikkel Boedker and Andrew Ebbett to the San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League.
After the Coyotes brought in center Eric Belanger just before camp opened Andrew Ebbett didn't really have much of a chance to make this team.
Mikkel Boedker looked pretty good in camp but just didn't produce quite enough to push a veteran out of the picture. Tikhonov was in much the same boat. He looked good out there at times but not well enough yet for the Coyotes. I'd expect both to make appearances throughout the season.
That means the only battles left are if Kyle Wellwood makes the team and who the Coyotes' 7th defenseman will be. We'll know come tomorrow before the Coyotes leave for Europe though.
