Petteri Nokelainen's Contract Bought Out by Phoenix Coyotes
The Phoenix Coyotes have announced that they have bought out the contract of Petteri Nokelainen. The Coyotes were scheduled to pay him $950,000 for this year, but will instead pay $158,333 for each of the next two years.
Nokelainen scored 1-1-2 for the Coyotes last year after being acquired from the Anaheim Ducks for a 6th round draft pick in the 2011 draft.

!AWOOOOOOOOO! (oh and GO FLAMES GO)
Making room
to try and keep Lombo or Stempniak
There are two coyotes inside every fan, a good one and a bad one, so which coyote do you feed?
TOSS THE SNAKE, TOSS THE SNAKE!
Lombo, please.
Sure lee was awesome, but I’m worried that without his pairing with Lombardi, Upshall’s production will drop.
Those two have had amazing chemistry since the second they stepped on the ice together
Sweater-jabs for everyone!
Stemp was good for us
But your right, Lombo we got to see all year. He is a major asset that needs to be priority over Stemp. Hanzal, Lombo, then Stemp. That is the priority.

oh yea
and we need Hanzal. The guy is a brick shit house. All they have to do is finish up the details and that deal should be done.

Good thing about Hanzal is
He’s a restricted free agency. That’s why there wasn’t as much hustle to get him resigned

Uhhhhhhhhhhh....
According to Puck Daddy on Twitter
“Don Maloney said Whitney signing includes Wojtek Wolski moving to center for #coyotes.”
…Don said they’d move Wolski to center if they couldn’t get Lombo resigned.
Ray Whitney wasn’t our “big signing”, and that’s all we’re getting, is it?
Please jebus I hope not
Sweater-jabs for everyone!
They were
Gonna move Wolski to center anyway. They talked about it since the end of the Playoffs if they got him resigned. Don’t count Lombo out just yet. They are putting Wolski where they think he will better produce, anyways wasn’t he a Center to begin with when he was drafted, but the Avs put him to LW?

I think a lot of you are overestimating Stempniak's value.

I'm def not overestimating
The priority should be Hanzal, Lombo, and Stemp. He didn’t produce much until he came here, so I don’t see a big increase in contract terms. Give him a 2 yr, with a lil more than he had before and we’ll see if he can produce like he did toward the end of the season for us and then we’ll talk about a big contract.

Lee
Not a priority, according to GMDM. His agent is trying to figure out his market value, to see who the real Stempniak is, be it the sub-average Toronto Stempers or the goal a game monster Phoenix version. GMDM said he’d sign Lee if he got a good deal for him.
This coming from his interview he just had on KTAR

Good to know
Thanks for the info.

Also
No mention of Lombardi at all during the interview, and when going after free agents, he said they’d like a defensemen with some experience, but then went on to say they have ‘Jovo, Aucoin, Yandle, DMo, and Lepisto’s back’. We haven’t seen that but I guess he’s just sure they’ll get the job done. Also confident that Ekman-Larsson will make the NHL roster

Lombo's as good as gone.
He’s the top C left on the market, and lots of teams are drooling all over him. There’s no way the Yotes’ll be able to compete.
