Transplanted hawks fan...
So i just moved down to phx about a month ago from chicago, after celebrating the stanley cup. and need to fill my hockey fix. So i decided to jump on your bandwagon since well... i live here now, i think u guys have a great young exciting team who will do very well for the foreseeable future. so if you don't mind a hawks fan jumping on board i would love to join up. except i will always be a hawks fan first, and wont change the user name. lol sorry.
Also great work with the "Throw the Snake" during the playoffs and still believe with Doan didn't get injured u guys beat Detroit.

Welcome!
Also, as a bonus provided free of charge, you can get hockey equipment here.
There are other places, but this is a starting point (I saw a comment you made on the Black Hawk site)

Lol. Thanks
Yea that post was written right after I spent about 2.5 hrs. Going to every sporting goods store I could find in the greater phx area. So I wasn’t exactly the happiest camper at that moment in time. Also do u know of places where they have rat hockey or roller hockey anywhere around here? I would enjoy that info to also be free of charge but understand if I only get 1 free piece of advice. Lol

I have a friend
involved in a hockey league in Tempe. I’m not sure how formal it is and such. He’s on vacation, hence my delay in getting back to you. Rest assured though, I don’t think you’ll have any trouble finding something that suits your needs/wants.

Ah, pickup.
I coach hockey/figure at Arcadia Ice , in Phoenix. There’s rinks scattered all over, so knowing your location would make it easier to direct you to the closest possible facility.

Good old google maps..
Being that I live on the other side of the world I can’t speak to their quality – but if you don’t mind driving I can reccomend the Ice Den in Scottsdale…only skated there once but it blows my local rink out of the water – two fully glassed sheets, great cafe, great pro shop.
Here in Auckland we have one rink with glass behind the nets only and another with Chainlink behind the nets….sigh

48th AVE? Or 48th ST ?
I’d pray you say AVE, even if that’s closer to the west side. Peoria has Polar Ice, or it’s called ‘Desert Schools Coyotes Center’ now. Double rinks, next to a bar district, and right next to the Mariners/Padres spring training facilities.
If 48th ST, then you’re right down the road from my rink, Arcadia Ice. Arcadia ice is located in the middle of a ghetto shopping center, 38th ST and Thomas.

Not saying you can't go there.
It’s only ten minutes down the road from Arcadia. Going someplace like Chandler, however, is quite the stroll.

Oh, and the Peoria rink is just south of 83rd AVE and Bell Road.
