On Playoff Futility

I did some investigating, and it turns out the Coyotes own the ignoble honour of the longest playoff futility streak in NHL history, surpassing the '50s and '60s New York Rangers by missing the playoffs last year. I'm personally hoping, for the sake of the fans, that this team is the one to break that streak. They've never won a series in Phoenix, and have only claimed two series since joining the NHL in 1979: it's time for a change.
